You can access your account through either an app or webapp. With functions and features identical in both applications.
An app is a specially designed piece of software, downloadable onto your mobile phone to make repeat access easier and quicker. The Valda Energy app can be found on the Apple App Store. This option is best for customers who like to access and manage their customer portal via their mobile phone or tablet - plus find it easier not to enter a URL each time they wish to manage their account.
A webapp is like an website, but with added functionality. Our webapp can be accessed by entering a URL into a web browser. This option is best for customers who like to access and manage their customer portal via their laptop or desktop. But, you can still access the webapp though your mobile phone or tablet if you wish, and by saving the page as a "favourite" or by pinning it to the homes creen of your mobile, you can speed up access for repeat visits.
When you first arrive at the webapp, or have just downloaded the Valda Energy app, you will be presented with the screen displayed. Please enter the email address linked to your SmartChoice account, plus your Customer Account ID and press "Continue".
Note: You can find your Customer Account ID on any emails that we send you.
Next you will be sent an SMS to the mobile phone linked to your account, containing a unique code. Please enter this unique code. If successful, you will be asked to set up a secure password for your account. Once you've created a password, you will now have access to your account.
For all future access to your customer account, you will only be asked for your email address and password.
