If you are a Smartchoice customer, our Valda Energy Customer Portal will allow you to make payments, view usage and monitor your account balance, on a desktop, mobile phone or tablet. This means you can always access your customer account at a time that suits you, whether in the office or on the move.
You can download the portal as an app from an Appstore on Apple and Google Play, or access by your computer or laptop using the URL app.valdaenergy.com.

With our portal, you can get a number of great benefits, including:
After you log in, you will be taken straight to the portal homepage.
Here, you are presented with your account balance and an estimate of how many days of energy you have left. This works in a traffic-light colour system, progressing from green, to amber, to red, to indicate how much credit is left.
You are also able to see how much you have paid each month in an easy to view graph.
At the bottom of the screen, there are some quick link icons - Usage, Payments, and Account, to allow easy naviagation to key areas.
If you are on a mobile, to navigate the portal, click on the menu icon in the top left corner of your screen and the navigation bar will be revealed, as shown here.
If you are on a tablet or using the webapp on a desktop, the menu will be permanently displayed on the left hand side of your screen.
You can then click on the relevant page that you would like to visit.
Smart meters give your business the data it needs to make informed decisions to cut your business' energy consumption and save money, but using our energy app makes this even simpler.
You can click on the 'usage' button on the navigation menu, and it will show you an easy-to-understand graph displaying the energy you have used. This will be shown as a solid line if you have a smart meter (i.e. your accurate usage), or as a dotted line if you do not yet have a smart meter (i.e. your estimated usage).
Just above the graph, you can toggle between month and meter point to get a better understanding of your energy usage pattern.
And just under the graph, you are able to view a description of what meter point each line represents with icons to show if this is electricity or gas.
If you do not yet have a smart meter, please contact us and we can arrange to install one for you at no extra cost.
You can view your invoices by clicking on the 'Invoices" button on the navigation menu.
Here, you will be shown a reminder of your balance, when your next payment is and a summary of your previous payments.
By clicking on "view" you can see a slightly more detailed view of the particular invoice.
You can click on the green "download" button to view the invoice as a PDF. This will be the most detailed view. Your first invoice will be generated 30 days after your site has gone live; then every 30 days thereafter.
Having an active payment method ensures future payments are made automatically - meaning bills are never forgotten and can save you time.
You can set up either Direct Debit or bank card payments on the Customer Portal - both allow payments to be collected automatically, meaning you don't have to do anything when a bill is due, giving you peace of mind. You can add Direct Debit or a bank card as your prefered way to pay via the "make a payment" button found within the navigation menu.
Setting up Direct Debit: At the bottom of the 'Make a Payment' page click on 'Set up Direct Debit Payments' then follow the instructions.
Setting up Bank Card payments : At the top of the page, click on the drop down menu and select 'Use New Card', then select an amount to pay. Next click 'Make a Payment' where you will be taken to our secure payments page. When you enter your bank card details via our online plaforms you are giving us permission to collect future payments through continous payment authority ("CPA") via the same card.
