Why doesn't the Customer Portal support other browsers?
As new versions of browsers are released, the older versions stop receiving updates, and gradually lose compatibility with the latest web technology. This means that older versions are not supported by our Customer Portal so that we can continue to incorporate the latest and safest technologies for our customers.
Does the Customer Portal support Internet Explorer?
The latest version of Internet Explorer (IE 11) was released in 2013, and there have been no further updates, meaning that Internet Explorer is behind other browsers in terms of its ability to support the latest technologies. The new default browser for Windows users is Microsoft Edge.
Although the Customer Portal does not support IE, it does support Microsoft Edge, as this allows for a much more user-friendly and safe experience.
How do I know that my browser will work?
If you are unsure what browser you are currently using, you can check on this website. If your browser matches one of those listed above, then your browser should be compatible with our Customer Portal.
If you are using a compatible browser and are still unable to access the Customer Portal, you may need to update your browser to the latest version.
Older browser versions may work, but our Customer Portal is designed to be used with the latest two versions so that your portal is secure and you can get the best functionality.
Are mobile browsers supported?
Yes - the latest versions of Chrome for Android and Safari for iOS are supported on the Valda Energy Customer Portal.
