Why does my bill look higher than usual?

Energy usage can change through the seasons of the year. Each month we profile how much energy you are likely to use in the next 30 days.  

If we cannot get hold of up-to-date meter readings, we base the amount on an estimate of your usage. 
You can avoid estimated bills by having a smart meter installed or submitting meter readings regularly. If you are overpaying or underpaying for your energy, you do not need to wait too long for us to adjust your payments. After receiving a meter read, we will make the changes to your next bill.  
You will always be notified before any change in your Direct Debit. That is part of the Direct Debit Guarantee.
