What do I need to do to prepare for my smart meter installation?

Before your smart meter is installed, our installation partners will ask you a number of questions to ensure you are prepared. 

This will include things such as:

  • Confirming you are happy with the power down time.
  • Confirming the type of meter you have.
  • Describing the meter location in your building, and any potential access issues (i.e. if there are any obstructions, whether a ladder may be required, etc.)
  • Whether any permits are required to access the site.
  • Whether you would like a confirmation email and reminder text message.
