What is a Recurring Card Payment?

A recurring card payment which is sometimes referred to as a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) or a ‘continuous payment transaction’, is where you give us permission to regularly take money from your debit or credit card whenever you’re running low on your account.

A recurring card payment provides an alternative to a standing order or Direct Debit because the payment instruction is with us, not with the bank. This gives us more flexibility in taking money from your account which can be fixed or varying amounts. There isn’t a specified date when we’ll take a payment, only when we need to when your balance gets low.
