1.    This promotion is an offer to apply a £100 credit to your credit balance if you introduce a friend to us who subsequently switches their supply of electricity or electricity and gas to us. We will also apply a £100 credit to your friend’s credit balance.
2.    This promotion will run from 08.00am on 27 February 2023 to 23.59 on 27 May 2023.
3.    To refer a friend under this promotion, (a) you must be an existing customer taking a supply of electricity and/or gas from us on our Valda SmartChoice product, (b) you must have at least one month left under the fixed term of your supply contract on the date your reward becomes due and (c) your account must not be in debt on the date your reward becomes due.
4.    A friend must be a person requiring a supply of electricity or electricity and gas at non-domestic premises in Great Britain who is not currently supplied by us and to whom we have not provided a supply in the previous 12 months.
5.    You may only refer this promotion to a friend who is known to you personally and who is happy for you to do so. You must also provide a copy of these terms and conditions to your friend.
6.    In order to claim this offer, your friend must before this promotion closes:
(a)    contact our Contracts Team and provide the unique referral code detailed in this email by telephone on 0330 124 2023, by email to valdaquote@valdaenergy.com or through our Refer a Friend contact form on our website.
(b)    claim this offer before they agree a supply contract with us; and
(c)    agree a contract with us (subject to our validation process) for the supply of electricity or electricity and gas with a start date that is not later than 27 May 2023.
7.    This promotion may not be redeemed via third parties (for example, brokers, consultants and other intermediaries).
8.    Referrers will be notified by email if a friend subsequently claims this offer and gives to us the referrer’s unique referral code, but referrers will not be told the name of the friend who has claimed the promotion. If a friend has received more than one referral code, we will be entitled to rely on the code used by the friend to claim the offer, which will be treated as final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding any disputed referral.
9.    The rewards under this promotion will become due to you and your friend once we have become registered in respect of the supply of electricity and/or gas to the premises specified in your friend’s supply contract.
10.    For every friend you introduce, we will credit both your credit balance and that of your friend with £100 within 14 working days of the date on which the relevant reward becomes due.
11.    Referrers are limited to one reward for each friend, and friends are limited to one reward.
12.    We will be entitled to recover a reward from a referrer and/or a friend (a) if it has been made to them in error or (b) if a friend’s supply contract ends within 3 month  of the date on which the reward became due.
13.    Rewards are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
14.    We will not accept responsibility for any failure by your friend to claim this offer prior to agreeing a contract with us, nor for any claim which is submitted to us after the closing date for any reason, including (without limitation) if due to a technical fault or failure of any kind.
15.    Personal data will be processed in connection with this promotion as set out in our privacy notice. See also condition 7 with regard to notifications provided to referrers.
16.    By sharing this offer with a friend and by claiming this offer, each of a referrer and their friend are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
17.    We reserve all rights to disqualify any person making a claim under this promotion if their conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the promotion or if they have acted unlawfully. In particular, but without limitation, this competition is not intended induce any person to perform a function improperly, or to reward any person for performing a function improperly.
18.    We reserve the right to suspend, cancel or amend this offer at any time where it becomes necessary to do so.
19.    These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and each of you and us agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
