The role

As part of the continued expansion of the Commercial team, we are seeking a Head of Business Performance. This is a new role for the department and will play a vital part in developing the function further. The commercial team assist stakeholders to drive change and improvement by providing valuable insights that tell the story behind the numbers. This newly created role will manage the team that specifically focuses on reporting requirements of the business and play a key part in proactively reviewing the performance of Valda Energy against its targets and expectations.

  • Provide analysis of core data to help inform strategic decisions across the business
  • Proactively identify good and bad performance on all areas of the business and provide valuable insight to stakeholders
  • Ensure reporting is fit for purpose and complies with requirements, policies, and standards
  • Manage a team of Commercial Analysts, sharing knowledge and developing the teams’ skill set
  • Establish prioritisation of team workload to meet deadlines
  • Using data to drive continuous improvement within the commercial team and across the business
  • Working collaboratively with departments across the business to ensure they have access to the data they need to optimise operational capabilities
  • Responsible for generation of regulatory reporting to external parties

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2:1 at degree level or equivalent/experience 
  • Managing and leading a team
  • Experience of Excel/SQL/R/Power BI 
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team
  • A hands-on team player with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • A proven record of stakeholder management
  • Right to work in UK

 

Terms & Conditions

  • Permanent post subject to 3-month probation period
  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week
  • Annual leave entitlement 25 days plus UK Bank Holidays
  • Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme consisting of 4% employee contribution and 4% employer contribution
